In 2015, Rick’s consistent excellence was recognized with his promotion to Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, he was responsible for overseeing all sales and operations, including sales activities and service across national and international markets. In August 2018, Rick Glassburn was appointed CEO and President of Bulldog Battery Corporation. James Brown – Human Resource & Operations Manager

James Brown, the Human Resource & Operations Manager at Bulldog Battery Corporation, is essential to overseeing all production-related operations at the company’s two manufacturing facilities. With a tenure of 2.5 years at Bulldog Battery, James has quickly become an integral part of the team.

James’s career began in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) consulting, where he worked with heavy manufacturing sectors such as iron foundries, oil and gas, aerospace, and automotive industries. After starting a family, he transitioned to in-plant EHS services before becoming an Operations Manager at an aluminum foundry in Northern Indiana. Following the acquisition of that company, James joined Bulldog Battery in 2022 as the HR & EHS Manager. His exceptional performance led to his appointment as interim Plant Manager in 2023, and he now serves as the HR & Operations Manager.

James has a passion for smoking meat, often combining this interest with his love for watching Indianapolis Colts games, ensuring there’s always great food to accompany the excitement of football.

James’s life has been marked by mobility; he lived in 14 different states before college. However, after completing his education, he chose to stay in Indiana, finding it the perfect place to settle and raise his family. This decision underscores his adaptability and commitment to stability for his loved ones.

Doug Mays – Chief Financial Officer

Doug Mays is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bulldog Battery Corporation, a role in which he oversees all financial aspects and employee benefits of the company. Additionally, he serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors. With eight years at Bulldog Battery, Doug has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial strategies and ensuring its economic stability.

Doug’s journey with Bulldog Battery began in June 2016 when he joined as the Controller. His exceptional skills and dedication led to his promotion to CFO in January 2020. Doug’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manchester College. His professional career started as a Staff Accountant at a CPA firm in Huntington, IN. After six years, he transitioned to Thermafiber in Wabash, IN, where he advanced to the position of CFO. Following the acquisition of Thermafiber by Owens Corning, Doug became the Controller of the Wabash facility, a role he held for two decades before moving to Bulldog Battery.

Outside of his professional commitments, Doug enjoys a diverse range of activities. He cherishes spending time with his family, attending church, and engaging in outdoor work. An avid sports enthusiast, Doug enjoys playing various sports and attending Indianapolis Colts games. His passion for sports extends to his community involvement, where he volunteers on the Wabash County 4-H Council.

Blaine Deeter – Director of Sales & Marketing

Blaine Deeter, the Director of Sales & Marketing at Bulldog Battery Corporation, brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic approach to his role. With approximately 20 years of sales and leadership experience in the industrial supply industry, Blaine is well-equipped to supervise and oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of Bulldog’s customer experience and sales department.

Blaine’s extensive background in sales and leadership has been instrumental in his success at Bulldog Battery Corporation. His ability to craft effective sales strategies and ensure exceptional customer experiences has helped drive the company’s growth and maintain its competitive edge in the industry.

When he’s not at work, Blaine values quality time with his family. He enjoys attending his children’s sporting events, a testament to his commitment to family and community.

Blaine’s favorite food is steak, and he is a passionate basketball fan, reflecting his deep love for the sport. This passion extends beyond watching games; Blaine was once a high school basketball varsity assistant coach, showcasing his dedication to mentoring young athletes.
